Our Story

The Isiserettes are a non-profit 501-©-(3) group organized in 1980 to give Des Moines area youth something exciting and positive to do within their community.  Their dance & drill style is a mix of the best hip-hop choreography and precise marching pageantry infused with an amazing array of musical percussionists that pound out drum cadences in what many consider masterful perfection, while always remaining in sync with the rock of the marchers. These kids range from 7 to 18 years of age and are one of Iowa’s performing treasures.

The Isiserettes have  performed throughout the State of Iowa but they’ve also taken their musical talents as far as West Virginia, Colorado, Tennessee, Minnesota, Nevada, Texas, North Carolina, Louisiana, Georgia, the 2009 Kentucky Derby Pegasus Parade in Louisville, KY, 2009 New York City Veterans Day Parade, the 2009 Inauguration Parade in Washington DC, The 2011 White House Easter Egg Roll in Washington, DC, and for the 2nd  time in team history, they were invited to the 2013 Inauguration Parade for President Barack Obama’s 2nd  term.

Although The Isiserettes’ team members have changed many times throughout their 33 years, their vision remains the same; Tradition, Pride, Dedication, and promoting self-expression and creativity through music & dance.
